The context of this blog starts from the opinions which i took from variety of people around me who in real sense are religious to their respective religion and on contrary i closely visualised my near & dear ones who follow these proclaimed human god’s.
It’s not wrong to follow someone who is living a righteous life, but do we necessarily have to give them a godlike status? In both Indian and Western philosophy, there is confusion between atheists and believers of an invisible or visible supreme power.
It’s important to understand why people feel the need to follow something so blindly, especially when it results in chaos for a majority of them. The human psyche is complex, but I believe the root cause for this behavior can be boiled down to FEAR. We live in a world where dishonesty and cruelty are all too common, and after doing something wrong, we try to justify our actions by following false idols.
In order to understand this subject more deeply, someone told me how a human can be related to ***. After the death of a human ***, gets the supreme power to bless our wrongdoings. I said “wrongdoings” because if they were good, indeed they were, as they spread compassion among society then Why there is so much of blood wrath or dishonesty in the outside world. Take the names of any saint , they always taught people the difference between right and wrong. Our so-called Bhakti follows their teachings inside temples or Gurudwara, Mosque or Church, but just after we leave the premises we become selfish.
Throughout the age of Satyuga, gurus and saints were present and their verses were treated as actual teachings to live a better life. However, we often find ourselves caught in the middle of something that is good for us but our inner greed has covered or ignored the teaching that says “there is nothing good or bad, it’s just an opinion” – something we console ourselves with.
In Bodh Gyan is a new millennial term, but is it something that should be followed after retirement? Should we ignore the life we’ve lived up until this point, where we’ve mostly done things that have given us false satisfaction? The old proverb says “show of piety from a habitual sinner.”
We often follow or unfollow various human god’s s without comprehending their teachings and how to integrate them into our lives. It’s useless to debate whether following them is right or wrong if we’re not creating tangible change in society, our country, or as individuals. We need to ask ourselves whether we’re able to make a difference in anyone’s life, live a peaceful life, or live a healthier life. If the answer is no, then we shouldn’t follow these human god’s’s or even the invisible god’s because God lies within our own intellect which should question us before committing to anything.
Grow your intellect by following teachers with logical context. If anyone comes into your life and brings tangible change which makes you as a better person , they are equal to or more precisely, a Saint or Guru.
